The thickening of the motif from Three Simple Pieces, Part Three became a structural factor in the creation of ‘Forty Years On’, recorded on directing 14 Jackson Pollocks and occurs at various times inside that composition.
An example can be heard below at 1.45 on More Colours.

After some motific improvisation there is thickening of the final motif on An Alternate Aberdeen Angus, found on the Audio page.
